Yoga at the Hartford ArtSpace Gallery

I am humbled to be a part of the Behind the Mask Exhibit curated by Grymm Studios for The Hartford ArtSpace Gallery. Connect with your body while in the midst of the artwork on display for this meaningful and important exhibit. Embrace quiet and stillness and see if you can hear what the deepest parts of you have to share. Move your body with intention and mindfulness; you are in control. Breathe with full awareness. In this moment, in this space, you are pure. 

Students will need to bring their own mats as well as any props they may prefer. Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing in layers and to bring water to stay hydrated while in practice.

This will be a gentle practice, but for students with mobility issues or other bodily concerns, a chair yoga class will be offered at the gallery on Tuesday, August 22nd at 10am. 

**The drop-in price for yoga at Shaded Whimsy is $15. This special discounted price is just for Yoga at the Gallery.**

The Behind the Mask Exhibit brings attention to the importance of mental health in the arts and vice versa. The featured artists all live with mental health issues and/or traumas and use their art to express and work through these issues and traumas. The Exhibit will be on view from August 12th-26th. 

- Saturday, August 12th: OPENING RECEPTION from 6-9pm*

- Sunday, August 13th: YOGA CLASS from 11am-12pm

- Saturday, August 19th: ARTIST TALK from 5-9pm*

- Tuesday, August 22nd: CHAIR YOGA CLASS from 10-11am

- Friday, August 25th: YOGA CLASS from 6:30-7:30pm

- Saturday, August 26th: CLOSING PARTY from 6-10pm*

There will be vendors, music, performance art, art for sale, and light food and beverages!

Starred events are FREE EVENTS and 100% of all donations given at those events will be presented to the Chrysalis Center, Inc.
